Director, Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre Dr Jyoti Kiran Shukla and CG Sh Hansraj Verma has made a classic move to present Indian Bollywood dances in the carnival capital of the world Rio De Jan in Brazil. After PM Modi's Brazil visit in G20, the interest about Indian culture has increased in Brazilians. The India Bloco bollywood, which is promoted and designed by ICCR culture centre in Brazil, has taken this interst to another level. After it's success in Sao Paulo last year ICCR culture centre has this time scaled up to Rio. About 10,OOO Brazillians will dance on Bollywood music on 23 Feb in carnival. For the first time ever in Rio de Janeiro, the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center (SVCC), the Consulate General of India in São Paulo, the Honorary Consulate of India in Rio de Janeiro, and the Friends of India Association will participate in the Bollywood India Block at the Rio de Janeiro Street Carnival.
After the successful participation of SVCC in São Paulo's Bollywood-related blocks, this year SVCC will bring the vibrant rhythms and dances of India to the heart of Rio's carnival celebrations. Get ready for a fusion of cultures as SVCC brings the refreshing breeze of India to the colorful streets of Rio! In a one-of-a-kind cultural experience, the Block will take place alongside the iconic Empolga as 9 bloc, blending the energetic beats of Brazil with mesmerizing Bollywood performances.
