Woman Drives Car Onto Railway Tracks in Hyderabad, Causes Panic and Halts Train Services, Arrested

In a bizarre and alarming incident in Hyderabad, Telangana, a woman allegedly under the influence of alcohol drove her car onto a railway track, sparking chaos and temporarily halting train services on the Bengaluru-Hyderabad route. The incident occurred near Shankarpalli railway station, leaving railway officials and locals stunned by the unusual sight.

The incident unfolded as railway staff at Shankarpalli railway station were taken aback when they noticed a car speeding down the tracks. Efforts to intercept the vehicle were met with resistance as the woman reportedly accelerated instead of stopping. Concerned about safety, railway officials swiftly halted all train movements along the route.

Several videos capturing the shocking scene quickly went viral on social media, showing a white car navigating along the railway tracks, much to the surprise and dismay of onlookers. The footage highlighted the tense moments as railway personnel attempted to halt the car's progress.

The woman behind the wheel, identified as Vomika Soni, originally from Lucknow and residing in Shankarpally, further escalated the situation by allegedly creating a disturbance. Reports indicate she threw stones at bystanders and even attempted to assault police officers during the ensuing commotion. Law enforcement officers eventually managed to apprehend her and took her into custody for a medical examination.

As the car continued down the railway line, it eventually veered off-track, crashing into nearby trees and coming to a halt. Fortunately, despite the impact shattering the car's windows, no injuries were reported among the woman or bystanders.

Railway authorities promptly detained Vomika Soni, confirming she was heavily intoxicated at the time of the incident. An investigation is now underway to ascertain how she gained access to the railway tracks and to evaluate any potential security lapses that may have contributed to the breach.

Following the removal of the car and necessary safety checks, train services resumed along the Bengaluru-Hyderabad route. The incident has prompted authorities to address security measures to prevent such occurrences in the future and ensure the safety of railway operations in the region.
