Rajasthan’s Anuj Agnihotri has secured the first rank in the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2026 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. The results were announced on Friday, March 6, marking a moment of pride for the state and for the young aspirant who achieved the top position after years of perseverance and dedication.
Anuj Agnihotri cleared the prestigious examination in his fifth attempt, a journey that reflects determination, resilience and sustained hard work. Sharing his joy on the social media platform X, the topper wrote, “My god I can’t believe. God is great. Six years of hard work finally paid off. Secured AIR 1 in my fifth attempt.” His message quickly drew congratulatory responses from aspirants and well-wishers across the country.
Speaking in an interview after the result, Anuj expressed his aspiration to bring meaningful reforms in society through public administration. He said he hopes to work as an administrator who ensures fairness and accountability in governance. “I wish to propel reward and punishment as an administrator,” he said, indicating his belief in a system where merit is rewarded and wrongdoing is dealt with firmly.
Anuj also acknowledged the crucial role played by his family and teachers in his success. In his message, he thanked his parents and mentors for their constant support, writing, “Thank you mummy, papa and all my teachers.”
