Government's eye on opposition: Apple warns 11 including Shashi Tharoor, Mahua, Raghav, Owaisi about hacking

Apart from TMC leader Mahua Moitra, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor and Shiv Sena (UBT)'s Priyanka Chaturvedi, many big opposition leaders have claimed that a strange alert has come on their phones. In this alert received on the iPhone, it has been said that state sponsored attackers are targeting their phones and trying to collect information. Similar message has also been shared by Asaduddin Owaisi and AAP leader Raghav Chadha. According to the message shared on social media, the warning also states that the sensitive data, camera and microphone of their phone can be controlled remotely.

Big opposition leaders are among those who have received such alerts. Apart from Congress leaders Pawan Kheda, Shashi Tharoor, SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav, CPM General Secretary Sitaram Yechury, Rahul Gandhi's office has also received such messages.

Attaching a screenshot on social media platform X, Mahua Moitra said, I have received an email from Apple in which it has been said that the government is trying to hack our phones. Now Adani and PMO together are threatening. Your fear is clearly visible. Priyanka Chaturvedi also shared a screenshot of a similar alert and asked whether the Home Ministry will investigate this matter. Shashi Tharoor also attacked the government and said that they have kept people engaged in similar work by spending taxpayers' money.

BJP's IT cell chief Amit Malviya, reacting to this, said that these people are trying to become martyrs over a suspicious message. This hullabaloo will flop like before. Why don't you wait for Apple's clarification? This is also being seen only as an opportunity. In this matter, BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the opposition leaders who are talking about phone hacking should file an FIR in this matter. Rahul Gandhi had earlier also said that his phone was hacked through Pegasus. But when the Supreme Court asked him to give the phone, he refused. Shashi Tharoor is in the Standing Committee of IT, why doesn't he seek clarification from the company?
