Ram Temple Theft Case: Trust Holds High-Level Meeting, Backs Ongoing SIT Probe

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust's crucial meeting is underway as it faces growing scrutiny over allegations of embezzlement of donations collected at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. The meeting is considered significant as it is expected to address the administrative and organizational implications of the controversy, including the future of the trust's senior office-bearers.

The developments come after Trust's general secretary Champat Rai and trustee Dr. Anil Mishra stepped down from their position, citing moral responsibility in the wake of the allegations. The meeting is also expected to deliberate on the role of the trust's General Secretary, Champat Rai, whose position has come under public attention following the controversy.

During the deliberations, the trust reiterated its confidence in the ongoing investigation being conducted by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted by the Uttar Pradesh government. Trust members expressed hope that the probe would establish the facts and ensure transparency in the matter. The trust maintained that it would fully cooperate with the investigation and extend all necessary assistance to the authorities.

Notably, both Dr. Anil Mishra and Champat Rai remained absent from the meeting. Dr. Mishra, who recently resigned while accepting moral responsibility, did not attend the discussions. Champat Rai also skipped the meeting, adding to speculation over the decisions that may emerge regarding the trust's leadership.

The allegations have attracted widespread public attention given the significance of the Ram Temple project, which has been built through contributions from devotees across the country and abroad. The controversy has intensified demands for accountability and transparency in the management of temple funds.
