PM Modi affirms to Cabinet: Operation Sindoor was conducted by the Indian Armed Forces without any errors

According to sources, during the Cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi briefed his Cabinet colleagues on Operation Sindoor, which was conducted against Pakistan on Wednesday, May 7.In a decisive move following the Pahalgam terror attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the Indian Armed Forces in executing 'Operation Sindoor', a meticulously planned precision strike against terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The operation, carried out on Wednesday, May 7, underscored India's resolve to counter terrorism emanating from across its borders.

Background and Execution

Operation Sindoor was initiated in response to the devastating terrorist attack on April 22 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed 26 lives and left several injured. The Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force collaborated seamlessly, deploying special precision munitions to target nine terrorist sites. These included high-value locations in Pakistan, such as Bahawalpur, Muridke, and Sialkot, along with strategic targets in PoK.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally oversaw the operation from its inception, demonstrating a hands-on approach to national security matters. During a Cabinet meeting, Modi briefed his colleagues on the successful execution of the operation, highlighting the meticulous planning and flawless execution by the Indian Armed Forces.

Strategic Objectives and Impact

The primary objective of Operation Sindoor was to dismantle terrorist infrastructure and eliminate key operatives of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), both notorious for sponsoring terrorist activities against India. The operation was characterized by its measured and proportionate response, aimed at deterring future terrorist strikes on Indian soil.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, in a subsequent press conference, emphasized the operation's necessity in light of Pakistan's failure to act against terrorist groups operating from its soil. He underscored India's commitment to pre-emptively strike against imminent threats, citing intelligence indicating further impending attacks.

International Response and Diplomatic Implications

Operation Sindoor has significant international implications, marking India's proactive stance against cross-border terrorism. While Islamabad condemned the strikes as aggression, New Delhi reiterated its right to defend itself against terrorism emanating from Pakistan-based groups.

Operation Sindoor stands as a testament to India's resolve in combating terrorism and securing its borders. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and the seamless coordination among India's military branches have been pivotal in executing this crucial operation. As the nation stands united in support, the aftermath of Operation Sindoor will likely reshape regional security dynamics, setting a precedent for future responses to terrorist provocations.
