Once I was passing through a market in Kanpur a famous sweet shop has a tag line,
“Aisa koi saga nahi Jisko hamne thaga nahi”, which means there is not a single relative whose we have not cheated. As I read this, the first name that came to mind was Sri Arvind Kejariwal. I was ashamed of my subconscious inference as I am nobody to judge people. The curiosity made me examine the reason for this exception. I did research on whether my subconscious mind has some valid reasons for this orig becoming mean.The facts were more fascinating than fiction.
Brief history of Kejariwal journey.
● He joined Tata Steel in 1989
● Took leave of absence to prepare for civil services and resigned in 1992.
● Spent time at Calcutta serving with missionaries of charity.
● Joined Indian Revenue Service in 1995.
● He founded a Parivartan movement in 1999.
● In 2000 he took a sabbatical from his job to focus on his work with parivartan.
● In 2005 he formed another NGO Kabir which accepted donation and here the donor has names like
● In 2006 he was awarded the Magsaysay award for his work.
● Kejriwal joined several other activists, including Anna Hazare and Kiran Bedi, to form the India Against Corruption (IAC) group.
● 2012 mid-2012, Kejriwal had replaced Anna Hazare as the face of the remaining protesters.
● November 2012, formally launched the Aam Aadmi Party; Kejriwal was elected as the party's National Convener.
● 28 December 2013 took oath as chief minister of Delhi as leader of the Aam Aadmi party.
Exceptionally quick and successful journey where every event is choreographed in perfection. It raises more issues than it can solve.
Why doubt the honesty of Sri Arvind Kejariwal.
● Can a person have such a Midas touch?
● Somebody leaves his job at Tatas to prepare for civil services but he does not go to his home or delhi which has the best institutes for coaching. He goes to Calcutta and works with Christian missionaries to create an exceptional portfolio as done to get admission in U.S Ivy League colleges. How it makes a difference we will see later.
● The brilliant person cleared civil services and joined the IRS. During training he met 1994 batch Ms Sunita and got married. The dream job and family responsibilities could not stop him from taking up social work in December 1999 and he is so moved that he takes sabbatical to pursue it one month later. I was surprised to read it on Wikipedia, as there is no provision for granting leave to do social work. Further research indicated that leaves were taken for further studies. The area chosen for social work was Sunder Nagari in east Delhi.
● The social work started in 2000 and in 2006 a far way sitting organization conferred magsaysay award to him. It is again a big surprise as it took a lifetime for Vinoba Bhave, MS Swaminathan, MS Subbulakshmi to earn it and Baba Amte’s lasting work to eradicate leprosy could get this recognition only after Arvind Kejariwal ji. Incidentally the Magsaysay award has its own controversy as the promoter himself never cared for these values in his life and alleged to have oppressed opposition brutally. Recent Awardee from India and there public stand make one worry about the selection process.
● The Magsaysay award also could not motivate Kejariwal and parivartan died its natural death in due time. Calling it "ephemeral and delusionary in nature", Kejriwal noted that Parivartan's success was limited, and the changes brought by it did not last long. (Kejriwal, Arvind (10 October 2012). Swaraj. Harper Collins. p. 6.). Actually foundation Public Cause Research Foundation in December 2006 with seed capital created using magsaysay award money. It was the beginning of the end for Parivartan whose employees were paid from the accounts of this new found NGO.
● In 2015 vandalism took place at a few churches in Delhi, tarnishing the image of BJP and creating a fear in the minds of minorities.
Use of meticulously built personal brands in Politics.
The brand Anna Hazare is used to promote Kejariwal, Yogendra Yadav, Kiran Bedi, Prashant Bhushan, Admiral Ramdas and so many other stalwarts join hands.Anna Hazare set on a long fast unto death. National sentiments were fully charged against corruption. Kejariwal declares to remain a social worker and to never join politics. National progressive alliance( NPA) was reduced lto NPA ( non performing asset). The new idiom,” policy paralysis” was coined.
Kapil Sibal, the great lawyer, challenged Kejriwal to join politics and perform. A filmy scene from the movie ‘Nayak’ was recreated.
Nobody expected that Kjariwal will bite the bullet but they never knew that he was trained for this day.
Immediately a new party was launched in November 2012 and Kejariwal is elected national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party. An elite Kejarival became Aam Aadmi, a loose shirt, muffler and a pair of chappals did the trick.
Eliminating every step of the ladder which made Kejariwal a political celebrity.
Anna hazard was no more an icon of the war against corruption. Aam Aadmi Party fought Delhi assembly election. Arvind Kejariwal whose party fought against corrupt congress defeated sitting chief minister Sheila Dixit. His party came second just short of a majority. He declared he will not take support from Congress; he had enough material to ensure ex-cm gets convicted.
But in no time the Aam Aadmi party entered in post poll alliance and Arvind Kejariwal became the chief minister. Here onwards he followed the advice of the great satirists Sharad Joshi’s famous line.
“Jo kaha vo kiya nahin, jo kiya vo kaha nahin”, meaning never did what said and did what was never said.
1. Entered with alliance despite pledging not to do so.
2. Took a big bungalow car and all the facilities despite taking pledge of his children.
3. Increased the remuneration of MLAs.
4. When time came to nominate people to Rajya Sabha ignored veterans like Yogendra Yadav, Dr Kumar Vishvas in favour of unknown faces.
5. Eliminated all veterans like Prashant Bhushan, admiral Ramdas etc to have a free hand to implement policies which were against the idea which led to formation of Aam Aadmi party as with power at his command he did not need these people. Free electricity, water and bus journeys for women could woo the voters.
6. Ignoring robust health care of hospitals and clinics in Delhi he promoted mohalla clinics with rented promises, ad hoc doctors. When Covid came, Delhi was least prepared and first time it happened that delhi people were running to Gurugram and Noida for treatments. It is a pity that Delhi chief minister takes treatment at centers in Benguluru. It exposes the truth behind all the tall claims made.
7. The Delhi government filed a case against the central government for not providing enough oxygen for COVID patients while it was revealed in a letter written by the Home Secretary of central government that the Delhi government failed to pick due to not making provision for transport.

Allegations on party funding.
All Indian political parties indulge in corrupt practices to raise fund. Even the present government policy of raise funds through bonds has earned severe criticism from the Supreme Court. However rarely it is alleged that Indian political parties getting funds from anti india forces. In the last election of Punjab, rumours were ripe that AAP is taking financial support from Khalistan outfits. Now an unconfirmed video of anti india group Sikhs for justice leader alleges about the funding of AAP during Punjab election.
Main highlights of Delhi liquor policy case out of public attention.
While the details of this case are given in most of the articles,we will examine the other issues. The main question which comes to mind is what connected delhi CM to Telangana CM’s daughter. Why did Kejariwal follow the advice? Why could not kejarival and team took note of falling popularity of Telangana CM. Why kejriwal withdrew the liquor policy if it was fair and sound. Why courts have not given bail to previously arrested people. Does it mean that the investigative agencies have managed to produce evidences so strong that courts have agreed in principle that investigation has stuffiest questions to be askesd.
Anna Hazare has condemned his prodigy.
There is a saying in upanishad which says, “ as a calf can identify his mother out of thousands of cows, so does your sin and it always reaches to punish you”. This seems to have proved true when one reads the statement made by his mentor Anna Hazare.
“Result of his own actions: Anna Hazare on Kejriwal’s arrest. Hazare says he is disappointed to see his colleague involve himself in formulating policy for liquor after having advocated against it when he worked alongside him.” (March 22, 2024, The Hindu)
Way forward
There is enough information to raise doubt about the moral integrity of Sri Kejariwal, however nothing is proved against him in court of law. Whichever way you look at it, he seems to be a better genius. Time has come to find out. Whether there is an international conspiracy to hijack Indian leadership by appointing a stooge. The first prime minister's personal secretary OM Mathai had faced similar allegations and resigned finally..There are rumors about China managing few of the Indian opinion makers. Present government has rubbed some feathers while making stringent laws to manage foreign funding of religious NGOS.this squeeze on political funding might have forced them to fall prey to narrative set by anti india forces. There are few videos which claim that terrorist outfits/anti national forces have funded political parties. Zakir Nayak paying to congress was one and recently another video by U.S based anti India campaigner Punnu is making rounds in media reports.
The information given above confirms that personna created by media and actual Kejariwal persona have a wide gap.
It is to be investigated from day one and matters might be settled for good.
The alleged liquor policy scam is a hawala case and past cases are proof enough that it is very difficult to prove the actual receipt of money. In politics it is the duty of rival political parties to nail the misdeed of the ruling party. It can be said that present day political rivals have preferred to stay silent on the matter of corruption.
Maybe they know “Hamam me sab nange hain” meaning it is an evil in which every body is involved.
