Maoists attacked security forces in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada on Wednesday. Due to the explosion in the IED planted by the Naxalites, 10 soldiers were martyred. There is also news of the death of a driver. According to the information, DRG force was sent from Dantewada for anti-Naxal operation on the information of presence of Maoist cadre in Aranpur police station area. While returning after the campaign, the Maoists exploded IED on Aranpur road.
Police officials said that after getting information about the incident, additional force has been sent to the spot. It is noteworthy that in the recent past, continuous action was being taken against the Naxalites by the security forces. Continuous ambush attacks are being carried out from the Naxalites also. Last month, a CAF jawan was martyred in Bijapur after being hit by a pressure IED planted by Maoists.

Earlier on March 9, there was an encounter between security forces and Naxalites in Sukma, Chhattisgarh. A large quantity of explosives and a barrel grenade launcher were recovered after the encounter. Security forces claimed that 5 to 6 Naxalites were injured in the encounter. This encounter took place on March 9 at 7 am in Sakler area of Sukma. Naxalites had an encounter with the joint team of Cobra Battalion and STF.
After the Naxalite incident, the reaction of CM Bhupesh Baghel has come to the fore. The CM said, "It is very sad. My condolences to the bereaved families. This fight is now in its final stage. Naxalites will not be spared."
