As Prime Minister Narendra Modi completes 11 years at the helm of India's leadership, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday praised his governance, calling it a transformative era in Indian politics marked by strong leadership, global recognition, and people-centric policies.
Adityanath emphasized that the BJP-led central government under PM Modi has redefined governance in India. “Governance is now based on the satisfaction of everyone and the appeasement of none; the country has witnessed it in 11 years,” he stated, describing this approach as a departure from earlier political strategies that often leaned on appeasement politics.
The UP Chief Minister also highlighted India’s enhanced image on the international stage, attributing it to Modi’s proactive foreign policy and strategic leadership. “PM Modi has cemented India's position at the global level and has given India an identity,” he said.
Drawing a stark comparison with previous governments, Adityanath criticized the decades of Congress rule and coalition-led instability. “In the 65 years of Congress rule and unstable governments, the trust of the common people was lost, and the image of India that was damaged at the global level, PM Modi has restored it in the last 11 years,” he asserted.
His comments come as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) commemorates the 11th anniversary of Narendra Modi's swearing-in as Prime Minister on May 26, 2014. The occasion has been marked by celebratory events and reflective statements from party leaders across the country, who have credited the Modi government with major achievements in economic reforms, national security, infrastructure, digital governance, and foreign policy.
As the BJP-led NDA embarks on another term following the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, leaders like Adityanath have reiterated their commitment to Modi's vision of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India), with a focus on inclusive development, strong institutions, and India’s growing global influence.
