Vishnu Deo Sai, the former State President of BJP and Member of Parliament from Raipur, emerged victorious from the Konta Assembly constituency. In a decisive electoral battle, Sai secured 87,604 votes, defeating Congress candidate Ud Minj, who garnered 62,063 votes. This triumph positioned Sai as the leader chosen by the people, reflecting their trust in his leadership.
The BJP's decision to appoint Vishnu Deo Sai as the Chief Minister was officially confirmed on Sunday. The resolution of speculation surrounding the leadership in Chhattisgarh came during a meeting of 54 newly-elected BJP MLAs at the party's state headquarters.
