Trump Claims Credit for Ending 8 Wars, Neutralising Iran’s Nuclear Threat, and Reviving US Economy

US President Donald Trump on Thursday once again projected himself as a decisive global peacemaker and economic nationalist, reiterating sweeping claims about resolving major international conflicts, neutralising Iran’s nuclear capabilities, securing peace in Gaza, and transforming America’s immigration and trade policies during his second term.

Addressing supporters, Trump asserted that his administration had successfully settled eight global conflicts within a span of ten months, describing the period as one of unprecedented diplomatic and military assertiveness by the United States. Central to his remarks was Iran, which he said no longer posed a nuclear threat following US air strikes on what he described as Tehran’s key nuclear facilities.

“I restored American strength, settled eight wars in ten months, destroyed the Iran nuclear threat and ended the war in Gaza — bringing for the first time in 3,000 years peace to the Middle East,” Trump said, framing his actions as historic in scale and consequence.

The US President also claimed that American intervention played a decisive role in ending hostilities in Gaza and securing the release of hostages held by Hamas. According to Trump, both living and deceased hostages were returned to Israel due to US pressure and mediation, a development he cited as evidence of renewed American influence in the region.

His assertion of “peace to the Middle East” marks one of the most expansive claims of his presidency so far, positioning the United States as the principal force behind de-escalation in one of the world’s most volatile regions. Trump has consistently argued that his leadership style — combining military strength with hard bargaining — has compelled adversaries and allies alike to fall in line.

Turning to domestic issues, Trump highlighted his administration’s hardline stance on illegal immigration, declaring that not a single illegal migrant had been allowed to enter the United States during the first seven months of his second term. Calling it an “impossible feat,” he credited immediate executive action taken from his first day back in office.

“Starting on day one, I took immediate action to stop the invasion of our southern border. For the past seven months, zero illegal aliens have been allowed into our country — a feat which everyone said was absolutely impossible,” he said, reinforcing a core theme of his political identity.

On the economic front, Trump strongly defended his tariff-driven trade strategy, hailing it as a key factor behind what he described as record-breaking investment inflows into the United States. According to the President, his administration has already secured $18 trillion in investments, which he said would translate into jobs, higher wages, factory openings, and enhanced national security.

Trump argued that tariffs — a policy tool he has frequently championed — have forced global companies to rethink their supply chains and relocate manufacturing back to American soil. He said firms were clearly informed that tariffs would only be waived if they built their factories in the United States.

“Much of this success has been accomplished by tariffs — my favourite word,” Trump said, adding that while other countries had long used tariffs against the US, “not anymore.” He claimed companies were now returning “in record numbers,” building factories and plants at levels not seen in decades.
