Tragic Fire Incident Claims Lives of Three in Dwarka's Shapath Society

A devastating fire engulfed a residential building in Dwarka Sector-13, resulting in the tragic deaths of three members of a family. The incident occurred on Tuesday morning, around 9:58 am, at Shapath Society, a multi-storey residential complex. The fire primarily affected the eighth and ninth floors of the building, leading to a swift emergency response from local authorities.

Upon ignition, the fire rapidly spread, creating a harrowing scene as flames erupted from windows and thick smoke billowed into the sky. The affected family, identified as the Yadavs, faced a critical situation where two children, a 10-year-old boy and girl, bravely attempted to escape by jumping from their balcony. Tragically, both children succumbed to their injuries despite efforts by emergency responders at Aakash Hospital.

Mr. Yash Yadav, aged 35 and involved in the flex board business, also jumped from the balcony in an effort to save himself. Regrettably, he was pronounced dead upon arrival at IGI Hospital. The mother and elder son of the Yadav family managed to survive the ordeal and were promptly taken to IGI Hospital for urgent medical treatment.

The Delhi Fire Department swiftly mobilized five fire tenders to the scene, accompanied by sky lift equipment to assist in rescue operations. All residents of Shapath Society were evacuated promptly to ensure their safety, with essential services like electricity and gas temporarily shut off to prevent further risks.
