In a significant breakthrough, Rajasthan Police and the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) have apprehended three suspects in connection with the firing incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff. The accused, including a 17-year-old minor, were detained at Kota railway station while allegedly attempting to escape to Nepal via Delhi. The suspects are expected to be handed over to Mumbai Police for further investigation.
Rajasthan Police on Monday apprehended three persons suspected of involvement in the firing incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff. The arrests were made at Kota railway station during a joint operation conducted by the Kota City Police and the Anti-Gangster Task Force.
The three suspects include a 17-year-old minor, 22-year-old Hrithik Kumar alias Roshan, a native of Begusarai in Bihar, and 18-year-old Rehan, who hails from Sonipat in Haryana.
According to Kota Superintendent of Police Tejaswini Gautam, the accused were allegedly attempting to flee to Nepal through Delhi when the police intercepted them. Following their apprehension, the suspects are to be handed over to Mumbai Police, which will continue the investigation into the firing incident.
Briefing the media, SP Gautam said the police received information on Monday morning that the three primary suspects were travelling by train and were expected to arrive in Kota. The information prompted the authorities to mobilise their personnel and launch an immediate search operation.
Describing the speed of the response, Gautam said the police set up a trap within approximately 15 minutes of receiving the information. The team then searched the train thoroughly and apprehended all three suspects.
The swift operation highlights the importance of timely intelligence and coordination between law enforcement units in tracking suspects attempting to move across state boundaries.
The suspects' apprehension in Rajasthan marks a significant development in the investigation into the firing incident involving the Bollywood actor. Their proposed transfer to Mumbai Police will allow investigators to question them and examine their alleged roles in the case.
Investigators are expected to establish the circumstances surrounding the firing, determine the individual roles of the three suspects and examine whether other persons were involved. Their alleged plan to reach Nepal through Delhi is also likely to form part of the investigation.
However, the arrests alone do not establish the guilt of the accused. Their specific roles, the motive behind the incident and any possible wider links will have to be established through the ongoing investigation and judicial proceedings.
