When the Ram Temple was inaugurated in Ayodhya, many critics of Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the Prime Minister was playing politics of religion. Some were even saying that Ram Mandir's popularity is an unofficial campaign for the Prime Minister for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. But none of these anti-Modi people said anything about the 'Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana' announced on the evening of the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishthan. Not a single opponent of Modi said that Modi is making India self-sufficient in the field of renewable energy by associating religion with renewable energy!
Although Modi's opponents may not say anything about it, but immediately after the Ram Mandir Pranpratistha, Modi ji reached Delhi and announced a plan to install rooftop solar on one crore houses in the country with the resolution of 'Har Ghar Solar'. A unique confluence of energy has been made! Such a decision can only be taken by a strict sanatani. After all, Lord Rama himself is a Suryavansh, and if Ram Rajya is to be ushered in India, then what could be better than maximum utilization of solar energy?
As an environmentalist, I like this decision of Modiji very much. I am very hopeful about the 'Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana'. Because even if one crore houses in India get rooftop solar, we will take a giant leap towards zero carbon emissions. Also, the beneficiaries of this scheme will not only get free electricity, but crores of poor people of the country will also be able to sell their electricity! It means that through a rooftop solar, Modi ji is making an important decision not only in the direction of renewable energy but also in the direction of providing economic viability to the poor.
However, it is not the first time that the Modi government is taking such a decision for rooftop solar. Even now, the 'National Rooftop Scheme' is being run by the Government of India. Under this scheme of Modi government, 40% subsidy is given by the government on installing rooftop solar with a capacity of three kilowatts for domestic consumption. The Modi government is making great efforts to ensure that the maximum number of people benefit from this scheme and are delivering this scheme from village to village across the country. What makes us all proud is that after the implementation of the 'National Rooftop Scheme', 10,407 MW of electricity is currently being generated across the country. For which 11,814 crore rupees have been spent by the Modi government so far.
I am also happy that my state Gujarat has come first to take advantage of the government's 'National Rooftop Scheme', and we Gujaratis are producing 1956 MW of renewable electricity by taking advantage of this scheme. In such circumstances, now that Modiji has announced the 'Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana', it is a new energy communication in the field of renewable energy. This plan will be a unique example to the world that if you are climate conscious, you can revolutionize the field of renewable energy even if you are a developing country.
Also, people who themselves would never even think about energy conservation would benefit from this scheme. This class is the class of the country, for whom nothing is more important than earning two meals. If we look at it that way, Modi has also included those people of India in the revolution of renewable energy who can not afford modern technology for clean energy. The philosophy of 'Bahujan Sukhay, Bahujan Hitai' in Indian democracy is the same philosophy that even the smallest person of the country should get benefit in the race of development and equality!
No one had thought of this before. Nor did anyone make a concrete effort towards renewable energy. But Modi has been able to do this. He has been able to dream of their zero carbon emissions. By the year 2070, the government is connecting crores of Indians in the direction of realizing their dream. That is why it is said that 'Modi hai to mumkin hai'. This can only be done by a global Sanatani, who can relate Suryavanshi Ram and solar energy to each other!
