With excitement building for the ICC T20 World Cup final between India and New Zealand in Ahmedabad, Indian Railways has announced a special train to help cricket fans travel to the venue for the big match.
The decision comes as thousands of supporters are eager to witness the final in person but are facing challenges due to soaring airfares and the unavailability of regular train tickets. To ease travel for fans, Railways has arranged a special service from New Delhi to Ahmedabad.
According to railway officials, the special train will depart from New Delhi tonight at 11:45 PM and is scheduled to reach Sabarmati tomorrow at 2:30 PM, just hours before the highly anticipated final match.
The train will consist of a total of 19 coaches, including Second AC and Third AC compartments, allowing a large number of passengers to travel comfortably to the venue city.
During its journey, the train will halt at key stations including Delhi Cantt, Gurugram, and Jaipur before continuing towards Sabarmati in Ahmedabad.
Railways said the move has been taken to facilitate cricket enthusiasts who want to experience the World Cup final live at the stadium. The special train is expected to provide a more affordable and convenient travel option for fans heading to Ahmedabad for the marquee clash between India and New Zealand.
