My Condolences to a great Patriot & Messiah of farmers Prakash Singh Badal.
It was noon when Punjab chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal gave me an appointment for an interview with Uday India . I was so thrilled to meet him by knowing his great personality . Right at 12 noon he called me on his room at Kaoorthala house Delhi and he requested his previous visitor that I have given time to Deepak at 12 noon. Surprisingly , my attention was on his wrist watch but I could see that he was not wearing any watches nether there was any wall clock in that room. So I I humbly asked him how he is able to find exact timing . He with light smile told me swiftly that : My whole political life I have maintained like that and never use watches but I am always at time and he added that I am a disciplined person despite being a politician. That is the character of a Indian politician who devoted his whole life for the cause of farmers and weaker sections in the society . When I started asking him questions about his contribution for the good governance in Punjab; again he requested me to first meet meet my political enemies in punjab and meet different journalists, industrialists and also several common man, then you interview me at Chandigarh after 15 days. And he organised my meetings and I met almost 50 persons who are related to the political and development of Punjab. That time Kamal Sharma was President if Punjab BJP and Kamla jee also visited with me to many people. I was overwhelmed to know the praises from the political opponents of Prakash Singh Badal about him. Many people described how Badal Saheb had taken good steps for the problems of farmers and how he was instrumental for the construction of Sahid Smaraks’ . After getting many inputs from public finally I interviewed Badal Saheb at his CM residence at 7 am in the morning over breakfast. He spoke for one hour how he was deeply involved to work for the weaker sections in rural Punjab. He then expressed his concern about increased number of cancer patients in Punjab due to over use of chemical fertilisers in the fields over the years . He had taken tremendous steps to recharge under ground waters in Punjab. For farmers production Badal Saheb had construed many store houses for food grains. Badal Saheb being a politician and a statesman , he was always very much polite and leaders across the party from different corners of our country has a great respect for him. He had a very good rapport with Atal Behari Vajpayee also and then with Rajnath Singh and now with Narendra Modi. He was a mass leader and is well know for the unity of Sikhs and Hindus in Punjab. That is why the political alliance of Akali Dal and the BJP was good for the state of Punjab. When the Allie. E broken after farmers agitation, Prakash Singh Badal was not very happy to know as he know the political geography of Punjab. I can assume that it is alway better that for the safety and. Security of Punjab the BJP and the Akali must unite now for the greater interest of Punjab.
Prakash Singh Badal will be remembered always by the people of Punjab and specially the farmers . Uday India family pays its tribute to the great soul.
