Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited youth in various government departments and organisations through video conferencing tomorrow morning during the 19th edition of the Rozgar Mela. The Prime Minister will also address the gathering on the occasion.
The 19th Rozgar Mela will be organised at 47 locations across the country. Newly selected candidates from different parts of India will join several Ministries and Departments of the Government of India, including the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services, and Department of Higher Education, among others.
The Rozgar Mela is part of the government’s ongoing initiative to accelerate employment generation and provide job opportunities to the youth in a transparent and time-bound manner. The programme reflects Prime Minister Modi’s commitment to prioritising employment creation and strengthening the country’s workforce.
Officials said the large-scale recruitment drive is aimed at filling vacancies across various government departments while also improving the efficiency and functioning of public institutions. The initiative has become a major platform for connecting qualified young candidates with government employment opportunities.
Since the launch of the Rozgar Mela initiative, around 12 lakh appointment letters have been distributed through 18 editions held across the country. The government believes that the programme has played a significant role in boosting employment opportunities and streamlining the recruitment process in the public sector.
The upcoming event is expected to further encourage youth participation in government services and reinforce the Centre’s focus on employment generation as a key component of national development.
