PM Modi Launches Development Projects Worth 23,300 Crore in Maharashtra

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a series of ambitious development projects today, totaling approximately 23,300 crore rupees, aimed at bolstering the agricultural and animal husbandry sectors. The launch took place in Washim, Maharashtra, marking a significant investment in rural infrastructure and welfare initiatives.

Among the key highlights of the event was the release of the 18th installment of the PM-KISAN scheme, benefiting over 9.4 crore farmers nationwide with direct financial support amounting to more than 20 thousand crore rupees. This initiative underscores the government's commitment to enhancing agricultural productivity and ensuring economic security for farmers across India.

Accompanied by Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated the Banjara Virasat Museum in Pohardevi, Washim. This four-story museum showcases the rich cultural heritage of the Banjara community through 13 galleries featuring portraits and exhibits that chronicle the Banjara legacy and their socio-cultural contributions.

Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the government's efforts towards the welfare of the Banjara community, acknowledging the pivotal role played by leaders and movements within the community. The museum inauguration ceremony was attended by dignitaries and community leaders, highlighting the cultural diversity and historical significance of the Banjara heritage.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi paid homage to the memorials of Sant Sevalal Maharaj and Sant Ramrao Maharaj, revered spiritual leaders of the Banjara community. His visit included a visit to the Jagdamba Temple in Pohardevi, where he participated in prayers and rituals, underscoring the spiritual and cultural significance of the region.

The launch of these projects not only signifies a major investment in rural development but also reflects the government's commitment to preserving and promoting India's diverse cultural heritage. Prime Minister Modi's visit to Washim reaffirms the administration's focus on inclusive growth and sustainable development across Maharashtra and the country at large.
