Today itself, three Pakistani soldiers have been killed and two terrorists have been killed in a military operation in Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The Pakistani Army gave this information. Pakistan Army's media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Friday night that security personnel faced off against terrorists at three different locations in the northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.


ISPR said one terrorist was killed and two others were injured during a military operation conducted in the Rori area of Dera Ismail Khan district of the province. It said the slain terrorist was associated with the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and was planning to carry out a high-profile incident in the area. During another military operation, a soldier died on the spot in a powerful explosive device (IED) blast in the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan district. The third operation was launched in Lakki Marwat district of the province where two soldiers were killed and one terrorist was killed during an encounter with terrorists.

On Friday, terrorists ambushed two vehicles of security forces in Pakistan's south-western Baluchistan province, killing at least 14 soldiers. The terrorist attack in Balochistan on Friday is considered to be the most gruesome attack of this year, in which the maximum number of soldiers of the Pakistani Army have been killed. According to a statement issued by the Pakistani Army, the terrorists carried out the attack when two vehicles of soldiers were going from Pasni to Ormara area of Gwadar district.
