In Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik dedicated five standalone COVID Hospitals through video conferencing today. These hospitals will provide specialised treatment to COVID-19 patients.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated five COVID-19 hospitals in the districts of Sundargarh, Bargarh, Anugul, Jagatsinghpur, and Nabragnpur with a combined capacity of 825 beds. With this, dedicated COVID hospitals are now functional in 26 districts of the state. Union Steel, Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Coal, Mining, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi and Odisha Health Minister Naba Das also joined in the program through video conference. Meanwhile, the state has reported 74 positive cases for COVID-19 out of the 10, 641 samples tested so far.
