On the second day of Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi's Gujarat visit, he visited Mundra Port and engaged with industry leaders, where he proposed a balanced two-coast strategy as a defining framework for India’s next phase of industrial development. He maintains: "India’s growth cannot remain one-sided; the next phase of industrial expansion must be powered by the east coast. While the western seaboard has demonstrated scale and global competitiveness, the eastern coast now stands at a critical inflection point, with Odisha well positioned to lead this transformation. The scale and integration at Mundra underscore the potential of port-led development in driving large-scale economic growth."
He further states: "In Odisha, we are advancing world-class industrial ecosystems anchored in robust infrastructure, seamless connectivity, and policy-driven governance, ensuring that investment intent translates into timely implementation. With strategic access to global markets and a rapidly strengthening industrial base, our state is positioned to play a central role in shaping India’s next industrial decade, emerging as a key driver of growth along the eastern seaboard."
