NIA court pronounces three-person guilty in recruitment for terror group

The NIA Court in Kochi today pronounced three persons guilty in connection with a case relating to the recruitment of about 15 youths from Kannur and neighbouring areas to fight for the dreaded terror group, Islamic State. The court declared Midhiraj, U K Hamza, and K V Abdul Razaq guilty of the charges against them. The quantum of the sentence will be pronounced later. The case was initially registered by the Valapattanam police in Kannur district and was subsequently taken over by the NIA in 2017.
