BJP has released the second list of names of candidates for Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections. In this list there are a total of 39 names including half a dozen MPs and Union Ministers. Congress has targeted Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and BJP after releasing the list of BJP candidates. Congress has taken a dig at Scindia by posting on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
Taking a jibe at the list of candidates, Congress said that 'BJP has reserved some people for the post of Sarpanch also. On giving tickets to big and powerful leaders of the party, Congress said in another post, seeing defeat in front, Ravana had fielded Kumbhakarna, Ahiravan, Meghnad. This is what has happened in the second list. While sharing the resignation of Dr. Rajesh Mishra, member of State Working Committee of BJP, Congress said, the round of resignations has started as soon as the second list comes.
It is noteworthy that on Monday (September 25), BJP released the second list of names of assembly candidates. The second list includes names of candidates for a total of 39 seats. Including this list, BJP has announced the names of candidates for 78 out of 230 seats in Madhya Pradesh. In the second list, BJP has included many surprising names, in which Union Ministers Narendra Singh Tomar, Prahlad Singh Patel and Faggan Singh Kulaste have been made candidates. Apart from this, the party has announced to make National General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya a candidate from Indore-1 assembly seat.
Kailash Vijayvargiya has expressed surprise after seeing his absence in the list of candidates. In a statement given to the media, he said that he did not want to contest elections, but the party had given him guidelines regarding this. BJP's National General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya said that he was confused by this decision of the party, He was surprised when the second list was released. He said that he would contest the assembly elections for the first time. Expressing his gratitude on getting the ticket, he said that he would try to live up to the expectations of the party.
