Maharashtra: IMD warns of heavy rains in Konkan till July 11

In Maharashtra, the IMD has warned of heavy rains in Konkan region for next three days till 11th July. All districts in the Konkan region have been warned of torrential to very heavy rains during this period. AIR Correspondent reports, Although the Red Alert of very heavy rainfall has been sounded in Mumbai, the city is not receiving heavy spells. The BMC control room has informed that all the traffic is smooth. Traffic on Suburban Central and Western Railway is also running smoothly. A total of 5 NDRF teams have been deployed in Mumbai. Palghar, Thane, Raigad, Nashik, Nanded and Osmanabad districts also receive good rainfall. There is no flood situation anywhere in Raigad district and the Kundalika river is flowing at warning level. So far, a total of 3,649 persons from flood-prone areas of the district have been evacuated to safer places. 11 houses in the district have been partially damaged and 5 houses have been completely damaged. The administration has already deployed NDRF and SDRF units in flood-prone districts as a precautionary measure against the flood situation.
