The challenge of the floor test finally came before the Uddhav government of Maharashtra. After that Koshyari announced to convene a special session on Thursday morning. He said that the floor test will be held in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly on 30th July, i.e. Thursday. It will start at 11 am and in any case it should be completed before 5 pm. The Governor has sent a letter to the Secretary of Maharashtra legislative assembly, calling for a special session tomorrow. A day earlier, BJP leader and former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis had met the Governor urging for floor test. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena has said that it will move the Supreme Court against the governor's decision.
Earlier, Eknath Shinde, who was sitting with 39 Shiv Sena MLAs in Guwahati, also said that they will leave for Mumbai today. It is being said that preparations are being made to move the rebel MLAs from Guwahati to Goa. From there they will be brought to Mumbai, if needed.
