Light to moderate rain expected in diffrent parts of country

Light to moderate rain is expected in many parts of the country today. As per India Meteorological Department, Jammu, Chandigarh, Mussoorie, Kullu, Shimla, Haridwar and Nainital may witness light to moderate rain today. Meanwhile, light snowfall may be recorded in places like Baramula, Srinagar, Badrinath and Leh. Earlier yesterday, the weather department had forecast rain for many parts of north India including National Capital Region with thundershower and lightning. According to IMD, the northern plains witnessed rain due to the western disturbances. The heightened wind speed due to the western disturbances has helped subside air pollution in many regions.
