India That Is Bharat

Satiricus is sure poor Karl Marx must be turning in his neglected grave in England. The atheist founder of Marxism could not have even imagined that a day would dawn when he would have to feature alongside Jesus Christ at a Marxist exhibition in Kerala, advertised as “God’s own country”. Following the Marxists’ recent rout in elections the party’s Kerala unit decided to hail Jesus Christ as a revolutionary, featuring him alongside such communist icons as Marx, Stalin and company. Posters of Christ and even “Mother” Teresa had already been displayed at the party’s functions.

Well, well, well, what does Satiricus think of that? The answer is simple: Being neither a Marxist nor a Christian, Satiricus simply does not know what to think. But apparently the Christians of secular India do. For according to “Father” Paul Thelakat, spokeman for the Syro-Malabar Church establishment, embracing Jesus is yet another move by CPM to gain wider acceptance. “It shows that party icons like Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot etc., described by historians as mass murderers, cannot be established as models for the Indian masses. In a way, they are going back to their own Judeo-Christian heritage and rediscovering their ideology,” he said.

Good God! Or, Jesus Christ! Satiricus knows politics is delightfully dirty, but he had no idea it could be also divinely dirty. He happens to know that according to the Quran (the Bible’s Semitic sibling) there is a God’s Party and there is a Devil’s Party, so he assumed that Communist-cum-Marxists being anti-god devils, they are in the opposition. But now it seems that being against God and being against the Son of God are opposite things.

Here Satiricus recalls that not long ago Com. Karat had said, as a party we don’t believe in God, but members of the party individually may. So simple to understand, no? No, not for this simpleton. The wretched retard that he is, he idiotically assumed that if there are no members, there is no party; then how can a party and its member think differently? To make Marxist matters worse, it is really beyond stupid Satiricus’s congenital in-capacity to understand how Communist mass murderers and Christian mass murderers are different. Are they as different as chalk is from cheese, or are they as different as tweedledum and tweedledee? God knows ! Or maybe the Son of God. For he of the Christian Bible, the New Testament, may know about a Nazi Bible, the newer testament, that Hitler had tried to prepare.

Hitler had gassed six million Jews to death. So what? He was not a Communist mass murderer, he was a Christian mass murderer, then how can the pious Father of Kerala Christians equate the two? And centuries before Hitler, how many hundreds of thousands of highly civilized Aztec, Maya and Inca South American Indians had been massacred by devout Conquistadors “in the name of the Lord”? And even before that there were the Crusades, the holy wars of the Christian Cross, that had been waged for two hundred years and killed one crore people.

Oh, well, if this is the Christian “heritage” and the Christian ‘ideology” that, according to this Christian leader, the compassionate Communists of Kerala are “discovering”, it would certainly fit in with the teachings of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, who declared, “Do not think I came to put peace upon earth; I came to put, not peace but a sword” (Mathew 10-34), and they called upon his faithful followers “These enemies of mine that did not want use to become king over them, bring here and slaughter them before me” (Luke 19.77).

What can Satiricus say? He can only supplicate to this Kerala Christian leader “please, please, don’t slaughter Satiricus.
