India has once again reinforced its position as a key contributor to global pharmaceutical quality standards during the 16th International Meeting of World Pharmacopoeias held in Brasília, Brazil, from June 15 to 17. The event brought together representatives from leading pharmacopoeial organizations across the world to discuss advancements in medicine quality, standardization, and regulatory harmonization.
Representing India at the prestigious gathering was a delegation from the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), operating under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The delegation was led by Dr. V. Kalaiselvan, Secretary-cum-Scientific Director of the Commission, who highlighted India's significant progress in strengthening pharmaceutical quality standards and modernizing its pharmacopoeial framework.
