President of Spain, Pedro Sánchez Pérez-Castejón, Vice President of Seychelles, Sebastien Pillay, and Prime Minister of Mauritius, Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam, landed in New Delhi today to participate in the landmark Summit.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) provided updates on the arrivals via social media, highlighting the unique bilateral significance of each visit.

In a post on X, the MEA noted that President Sánchez’s visit transcends the immediate scope of the AI conference. The Ministry stated that his presence will "add further impetus to the ongoing celebrations of India-Spain Dual Year of Culture, Tourism and AI." This dual year marks a significant effort by both nations to deepen people-to-people connections while collaborating on cutting-edge technological fronts. The Spanish leader is expected to hold bilateral talks focusing on enhancing cooperation in renewable energy, infrastructure, and emerging technologies alongside his participation in the Summit.

Welcoming the Vice President of Seychelles, the MEA emphasized the deep-rooted maritime partnership between the two nations. "Seychelles is a close and longstanding maritime partner," the MEA post read, adding that the Vice President's participation in the Summit "offers an opportunity to harness AI for the benefit of our peoples and further strengthen our partnership." Discussions are expected to center around leveraging AI for sustainable ocean economy initiatives, climate change monitoring, and bolstering maritime security in the Indian Ocean region.

The arrival of Prime Minister of Mauritius, Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam, underscores the special and enduring ties between India and the island nation. The Ministry highlighted that his visit will significantly contribute to the realm of digital cooperation, which "remains a key pillar of India-Mauritius" relations. With India already playing a transformative role in Mauritius's digital infrastructure through projects like the Metro Express and UPI integration, this visit is poised to expand collaboration into areas of AI-driven public service delivery, fintech, and cyber governance.

The India AI Impact Summit 2026 is being touted as a platform to showcase India's burgeoning AI ecosystem and foster international partnerships.
