The annual pilgrimage to Shri Amarnath Ji is witnessing an overwhelming enthusiasm among devotees from across the country. Every day, thousands of faithful journey to seek blessings at the icy abode of Baba Barfani. On the third day alone, 23,437 pilgrims offered their prayers at the Baba's shrine, pushing the total count beyond 51,000 in just three days. The pilgrimage continues along the traditional routes of Pahalgam and Baltal.
During this period, from Bhagwati Nagar in Jammu, a group of 6,461 devotees embarked for Kashmir. Among them were 1,628 men and 525 women for Baltal, along with children, sadhus, and sadhvis. Similarly, 3,203 men and 698 women, along with sadhus and sadhvis, set out for Pahalgam. These pilgrims traveled in 265 vehicles, both small and large, accompanying their respective groups.
For the past three days, Bhagwati Nagar in Jammu has witnessed a continuous flow of more than 6,000 pilgrims daily. Despite intermittent rains causing discomfort due to humidity after clearing up during the day in Jammu over the past two days, the pilgrims' enthusiasm remains unwavering. Late into the night, pilgrims are arriving near the railway station at Saraswati Dham for immediate registration.
The devotion of the pilgrims is evident, as even after standing in long queues, their faces show no signs of fatigue. The atmosphere in Jammu's temple city is infused with chants of "Bam Bam Bhole" and "Jai Shiv Shankar," creating a pervasive sense of spirituality across the city.
