According to the meteorological department, the temperature hovered around 39.4 degrees Celsius, which is three degrees above the usual.
Earlier, on April 13, the temperature also peaked at 39.4 degrees Celsius. So far, this season has not witnessed such hot days. By April 1, winds are expected to weaken, with maximum temperatures reaching 38 degrees Celsius and minimum temperatures dropping to 22 degrees Celsius. On April 22, there is a possibility of drizzling, although it is unlikely to have a significant impact on temperatures. Maximum temperatures could reach 39 degrees Celsius, while minimum temperatures may settle around 23 degrees Celsius.
From April 23 to 25, the skies are expected to remain clear, with intense sunlight prevailing. Maximum temperatures could range between 40 and 41 degrees Celsius, while minimum temperatures may hover around 21 to 22 degrees Celsius. During this period, strong winds are expected on April 25, bringing with them hot air currents.
As Delhi braces for the impending heatwave, residents are advised to take necessary precautions to stay cool and hydrated during the sweltering days ahead.
