The press conference, convened after Natarajan's nomination papers were rejected, has become the focal point of political chatter after multiple clips surfaced on social media. One of the widely circulated videos shows Digvijaya Singh gesturing towards Harish Chaudhary, apparently asking him to call senior leader JP Dhanopia onto the stage. Chaudhary is seen signalling Singh to remain quiet. Moments later, Singh folds his hands, a gesture that many supporters and observers have interpreted as a sign of displeasure.
The clip quickly gained traction online, with one supporter of Digvijaya Singh posting that “an insult to the Raja is an insult to us,” reflecting the emotional response among sections of his supporters.
Another video from the same event shows Jitu Patwari offering the microphone to Digvijaya Singh and inviting him to address the gathering. However, Singh declines the invitation, waving his hand and refusing to speak. Though brief, the exchange has added fuel to speculation about possible differences among the party's senior leaders.
A third clip has generated even greater discussion. In the video, Patwari appears to gesture towards Singh, asking him to shift from his seat. Singh subsequently gets up and moves to a chair placed on the side. Moments later, Patwari is heard requesting, “Please stay right here, Sir,” but by then Singh has already changed seats. Harish Chaudhary later occupies the chair next to Singh, followed by Meenakshi Natarajan.
The viral footage has prompted political commentators to describe the developments as signs of a "silent war" within the Madhya Pradesh Congress. While no leader has publicly acknowledged any differences, the optics of the interactions have become a subject of intense discussion both within party circles and on social media platforms.
