Veteran Bollywood actor Govinda was admitted to a Mumbai hospital in the early hours of Wednesday following a health scare. The incident has caused concern among his fans and colleagues, though officials close to him have confirmed that the actor is now stable and under observation.
The sequence of events began on Tuesday night when the 60-year-old actor suddenly fainted at his residence around 8:30 pm. After an initial consultation with a doctor, he was given medication and his condition showed signs of improvement.
However, the actor felt unwell again around 12:30 am. As a precautionary measure, he was rushed to the Critical Care Hospital in Mumbai and admitted at approximately 1 am.
Providing an update on his health, Govinda's manager, Shashi Sinha, told ANI, "He is currently under observation and is conscious. Doctors are expected to review his condition around 12 noon, after which further decisions will be taken. His medical tests are still ongoing."
Insight into the sudden nature of the incident came from the actor's friend, Lalit Bindal, who spoke to PTI. "He suddenly collapsed at home this evening, then he called me. I brought him to Critical Care Hospital. He is under the supervision of doctors and his investigation is ongoing," Bindal stated.
Bindal also took to Instagram to share the news with the public, posting a note that read, "My dear and respected Govinda has been admitted in hospital with complaints of disorientation and unconsciousness. I pray for his speedy recovery." This post quickly went viral, triggering an outpouring of concern and get-well wishes on social media.
Despite the alarming incident, the situation appears to be under control. According to sources, the actor has undergone all necessary tests and is currently "doing well." The hospital is expected to release a formal medical bulletin this morning, which will provide a clearer picture of his health status.
