BJP Releases Second Part of Manifesto: Major Announcements for Youth and Unorganized Sector Workers

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released the second part of its manifesto, focusing on youth and unorganized sector workers. Former Union Minister and MP Anurag Thakur unveiled the manifesto, promising transformative measures if the BJP forms the government in Delhi.

Free Education from KG to PG

Anurag Thakur announced that under BJP governance, all needy students in government institutions would receive free education from kindergarten (KG) to post-graduation (PG). This ambitious promise aims to ensure equitable access to education.

Financial Support for Competitive Exams

Thakur highlighted measures to support youth preparing for competitive exams. He promised ₹15,000 in financial aid for exam preparation and reimbursement of application fees and travel expenses twice for these exams.

Special Assistance for SC Students

The manifesto emphasized BJP's commitment to Scheduled Caste (SC) students. Thakur criticized the current government for awarding scholarships to only five SC students in five years. In contrast, he claimed that the Modi government has supported 34.5 lakh SC students. The BJP plans to provide a monthly stipend of ₹1,000 under the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stipend Scheme for technical and vocational course preparation.

Welfare Measures for Auto and Taxi Drivers

Targeting the auto and taxi driver community, Thakur announced the formation of an Auto Taxi Welfare Board. The board will provide life insurance coverage of up to ₹10 lakh and accident insurance of ₹5 lakh. Scholarships will also be offered for the education of drivers' children.

Support for Domestic Helpers

For domestic helpers, including gardeners, cleaners, and cooks, the BJP promises to establish a Domestic Helper Welfare Board. Thakur stated that workers in this sector would receive life insurance of ₹10 lakh and accident insurance of ₹5 lakh. Their children would also benefit from scholarships.

Loans for Street Vendors

BJP pledged financial inclusion for street vendors, with Thakur announcing plans to provide loans to 4 lakh street vendors in Delhi without requiring any collateral.

SIT Investigation into AAP Corruption

The manifesto also targeted the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), with Thakur accusing it of multiple scams. He announced that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) would be constituted to investigate alleged corruption in liquor policies, Delhi Jal Board, mohalla clinics, and other sectors under AAP governance.

Earlier Promises in the First Part of the Manifesto

The BJP’s earlier announcements focused on empowering women. Key promises included a monthly financial aid of ₹2,500 for every woman, subsidized gas cylinders at ₹500 for low-income women, increased pension benefits, and the establishment of Atal Canteens near slum areas to provide full meals at ₹5. The party also vowed to implement the Ayushman Bharat scheme in Delhi from the first cabinet meeting itself.
