In a shocking incident, armed assailants entered a residence belonging to an NRI in the Darburji village on the Amritsar-Jalandhar GT Road early this morning and opened fire. The attack left an NRI, identified as Sukhchain Singh, critically injured, necessitating his immediate hospitalization.
According to reports, three unidentified gunmen stormed into the house around 7:30 AM and began firing indiscriminately. The CCTV footage recovered from the scene clearly shows the assailants entering the premises and initiating the attack. The victim, Sukhchain Singh, was present in the house along with his family members during the terrifying ordeal. Despite efforts by family members to intervene and protect Sukhchain, the attackers threatened them and proceeded to shoot him.
The injured youth was rushed to the hospital where he remains in critical condition, undergoing intensive medical care. His family members are also reported to be at the hospital, deeply distraught by the sudden and violent attack.
