AR Rahman to Perform ‘Jai Ho’ at Attari Border in Tribute to BSF Bravehearts

Music maestro and two-time Academy Award winner A.R. Rahman is set to deliver a special performance of his iconic song Jai Ho at the historic Attari Border on June 7, paying tribute to the courage and sacrifice of the Border Security Force (BSF) personnel. The announcement was made on Saturday by the makers of the upcoming film Main Vaapas Aaunga, marking a unique and heartfelt gesture in honour of India's frontline defenders.

The event, titled “Jai Ho – A Tribute to the Bravehearts,” will celebrate the dedication of BSF soldiers who tirelessly safeguard the nation’s borders. According to the organisers, the musical tribute aims to express gratitude and respect for the unwavering commitment of these brave men and women to the service of the country.

The special programme will be held between 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM at the JCP Stadium, Attari Border, coinciding with the iconic border parade ceremony that attracts visitors from across the country. The event is expected to create a memorable atmosphere as music and patriotism come together at one of India’s most symbolic locations.

Adding to the significance of the occasion, several prominent personalities from the film industry will join Rahman at the event. Acclaimed filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, actor Vedang Raina, and singers Mohit Chauhan, Pooja Tiwari, and Nargis are expected to be present, making it a star-studded tribute to the nation’s guardians.

The event also serves as a promotional milestone for Main Vaapas Aaunga, an upcoming romantic drama directed by Imtiaz Ali. The film features music composed by A.R. Rahman and lyrics penned by celebrated songwriter Irshad Kamil. The cast includes Sharvari Wagh and Vedang Raina in lead roles as young lovers, while veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah portrays an older version of the central character.

With its trailer, teaser, and songs already generating significant excitement among audiences, Main Vaapas Aaunga has emerged as one of the most anticipated releases of the year. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on June 12, 2026.

The anticipation surrounding the film has also been amplified by the popularity of its music and the strong fan following enjoyed by its cast and creative team. Industry observers believe the combination of Imtiaz Ali’s storytelling and A.R. Rahman’s music could make the film a major box-office attraction.

Imtiaz Ali, known for delivering memorable cinematic experiences, recently received widespread acclaim for his biographical musical drama Amar Singh Chamkila, which was released on Netflix and earned praise from both critics and audiences. His latest collaboration with Rahman is expected to continue their successful creative partnership.

As the strains of Jai Ho echo across the Attari Border, the event is set to become a powerful celebration of patriotism, music, and the indomitable spirit of India’s brave soldiers. The tribute promises to offer a fitting salute to those who stand guard at the nation’s frontiers while bringing together art and national pride in a truly memorable way.
